Susan is a Leasing Agent in Childress Klein’s retail division, building new client relationships and leasing the firm’s retail and mixed-use centers across the region.

As a retail leasing agent, Susan works on behalf of CK and its owners to fill shopping centers with the right mix of tenants. She markets available space to retailers, restaurants and service businesses, responds to inquiries from tenants and brokers, tours prospects, and negotiates lease terms through to opening day. She also works with existing tenants on renewals and expansions to keep each center strong. With more than 20 years in retail leasing, she brings close attention to detail, a strong work ethic and a sharp eye for which tenants fit each center and neighborhood.

Susan leases centers across CK’s retail portfolio, including Promenade on Providence, Plantation Market, Afton Ridge Shopping Center, The Arboretum and Tranquil Court. Recent additions she has worked on include The Chop Shop Butchery at Tranquil Court.

Before joining CK in 2012, Susan was a leasing manager with Inland Western Real Estate Trust and Inland Mid-Atlantic Management Corporation and a commercial retail broker with Currier Properties. She holds a B.A. from Belhaven University, is a licensed North Carolina real estate broker and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
