Self Storage
Back to Property Types

In 2005, Childress Klein introduced our self-storage division, setting a new standard in providing multi-story, climate-controlled facilities to meet the evolving storage demands of our valued customers.

At Childress Klein, we have strategically positioned ourselves as a leader in the rapidly expanding self-storage sector, specifically across the Southeast. Guided by a disciplined and meticulous approach, we have formulated a thorough blueprint that ensures precision in site selection, design, development, and management of exceptional self-storage facilities. We are a privately-held, financially-robust company dedicated to generating sustainable long-term value.

Our self-storage team, under the leadership of Chris Poholek, diligently scouts for properties nested in highly populated areas of the Southeast. We look for areas exhibiting dynamic growth and promising rental rates. As a result of our diligent actions and strategic foresight, Childress Klein currently manages an impressive roster of thirteen properties, spanning almost 2.1 million square feet of developed self-storage space.

In 2019, Life Storage entered into a joint venture with Childress Klein. This joint venture paved the way for the acquisition and rebranding of six considerable SpaceMax Storage facilities, strengthening our position in the market.

We continue to leverage our unique market position, robust capital base, and vast experience to create and manage best-in-class self-storage facilities. Always striving for growth, our vision remains fixed on finding innovative ways to serve more communities in the Southeast with unparalleled professionalism and quality service.

All of our facilities include the following features:
