Gareth is Division Partner of Childress Klein’s Office and Retail divisions, where he leads office and retail development and selective acquisitions to fuel the firm’s next phase of growth.

Gareth joined CK in 2019 after earning his MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler, supporting development and acquisition underwriting, leasing and marketing for the Office Division. In his prior role as Director of Investment Management, he led the firm’s acquisitions across all asset types, helped source capital for development projects and asset managed CK’s office portfolio. He played a key role in the $575 million recapitalization of a third of CK’s industrial portfolio in 2024, the purchases of Tranquil Court and Esplanade, and the sale of Lowe’s Global Tech Hub, which set a Charlotte office record at $890 per square foot.

Now, as Division Partner of Office and Retail, Gareth is building on the strength of CK’s established office and retail platforms. With demand for new Class A office space and retail tenant demand both improving, he is focused on increasing development activity and pursuing selective acquisitions, drawing on the synergies between the two sectors. On every project, he aligns the work with the owner’s objectives, works to grow asset value and holds firmly to schedules and budgets.

Before CK, Gareth graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served as an infantry officer and paratrooper in the U.S. Army, completing missions in the Middle East and Africa with the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. He then managed process and capital improvement projects at Charlotte Pipe and Foundry’s largest plants. He joined the NAIOP Charlotte Board of Directors in December 2024.
