As Chief Financial Officer, Debbie leads Childress Klein’s controller, investor relations, financial planning, internal audit and tax functions, supporting the firm’s growth strategy and the needs of its clients and investors.

She brings 35 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, banking and operations. Known for leading by example, she builds strong teams and aligns financial and business metrics with the firm’s strategic goals.

Debbie began her career as a property accountant with Brown Properties and an accounting manager with Hill Partners before joining CK in 1994 as Industrial Accounting Manager. She became Controller of the Retail and Industrial divisions in 1996 and Director of Property Operations for those divisions in 2001, giving her a hands-on understanding of how CK’s properties perform. She was named Chief Financial Officer in 2013 and is a partner in the firm.

Debbie is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina and a member of the American Institute of CPAs. She holds a B.S. from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and serves on the Urban Land Institute’s Capital Markets Committee.
