As a Partner and Director of Property Operations for our Industrial and Retail Divisions he is not only responsible for all property management and accounting for these two businesses, he has also grown into a key supporting role in our development program.
In his property management role Richie oversees two experienced teams of property managers – one responsible for property operations for our retail portfolio of 20 properties totaling 3 million square feet, and a second team responsible for our industrial portfolio of 69 properties and 10.1 million square feet. Richie also supervises a team of accounting managers responsible for all of our financial reporting – to internal ownership, to third party owners and to joint venture partners – in addition to all lender compliance reporting.
Additionally, he is responsible for risk management strategies for all of these properties, including the negotiation of owner-contractor insurance programs on development projects. Richie has become a valuable member of our development team helping us identity operating issues and risk management issues while potential projects are still in the design phase, as well as providing key support for our development and financing efforts.
