For over a quarter of a century, Childress Klein has been supporting and nurturing one of the most influential entities amongst Charlotte Real Estate development. By cultivating a partnership with UNC Charlotte, Childress Klein believes it will enhance the overall quality and proficiency embedded within the real estate industry. Childress Klein and UNCC have advocated and encouraged each other in business developments and overall success since the 1990’s.

In 2005, The Childress Klein Center for Real Estate at UNC Charlotte was established with a firm belief that it would foster a rich expertise that would later lend itself to the progression of the Real Estate industry. The relationship between Childress Klein and UNCC has proven to be exceptionally efficacious as The UNCC Chancellor, Jim Woodward, has gone out of his way to back the efforts of Childress Klein. Fred Klein has earned a spot on the UNCC Board of Trustees, and Childress Klein has served as one of UNCC greatest supporters, including a donation of 2.5 million dollars the Center for Real Estate in 2015.The donation made way for a new endowed professorship, and significantly boosted master’s student professional training programs and faculty fellowships correlated to research on real estate and urban economics topics. The foundation of this partnership between Childress Klein and UNCC is rooted in the certainty that together, they will add an abundance of value to the foundation of the Real Estate industry as a whole.
